First Mr. Paterson talked about the e-portfolio his university students wrote. One was very good, that he even wanted the paper to get published, while the other paper sucked and was about to get an F. The one that the teacher showed us a good essay was a great example for our writing as well and was very helpful for us writing our academic essay. Also, by reading her paragraphs, it made me realize how one sentence can mean a lot, telling us the importance of academic words and another strong thesis. Her reference citation was probably the biggest difference I realized looking at her essay. Inside the parenthesis, it had shortened citations to let the readers know the reference of each information. The teacher told us that the app called Zotero can do this citation work for us, which I thought was neat and useful when writing these essays.
