Monday, October 7th
Last week, we went second to present our presentation and we only got to see one other group presenting. However, today, I have no stress that we are going today, and I can simply sit back and relax for the rest of the remaining class to listen to other groups and see what's up. The first group up was team 6 Akie, Airi, and Kei. They were broadly talking about three things, recess homework, and vacation. For recess, they were talking about how our recess is way too short and that we can't focus on class so much. The proposal was to have a 15 minutes break in between each 50 minutes class and even if we can't do that, we should at least have more recess time on Tuesday and Thursday as we have 7-periods of class. They also talked about how we don't have enough space to relax. Their idea was to make the environment that we can relax more, and use our recess time more effectively. They also talked about how we have way too much homework. Also, they don't give enough time to finish it. Their idea was to have more time until the submission day so that we can ask the teacher what we don't understand. Additionally, they talked about how we should get more time spending time with our family and more time spent on what is really important to us and what we are interested in. Lastly, they said, "The time you enjoy wasting is not wasted time." I thought this was a great quote because it meant so deep for me.
The next group was group 7, which was Migusa, Nina, Tsubura, and Arisa. First, they talked about the lights. The white films do cut out the UV lights but block the natural light. Since using artificial light is not suitable for the environment and also our brain, they proposed having a green curtain made out of the devil's ivy. I again realized how devil's ivy was as we talked about it as well for our presentation. They also talked about how we can efficiently use the rooftop. Their idea was great but thought that it costs a lot. For their conclusion, they talked about the importance of changes. They showed us a picture of changes in phones and cars and compared to the arrangement of desk and chair to make us see that that didn't change at all.
